Formal and Flannel PosterThe Victoria Hall Volunteers present An Early Canadian Christmas Evening…Formal or Flannel on Friday December 15, 2017 to celebrate the contributions of pioneers and settlers to Cobourg. The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. in the Concert Hall with delectable appetizers, followed by a delicious three course dinner. There will be lively entertainment provided by the Corktown Fiddlers, the Oriana singers and a choral group from Terry Fox School.

We hope that you'll join us in dressing either in formal attire or flannel, a blend of both or perhaps wear your family tartan. The flannel shirt embodies all that is good and dependable about those who live in this country. Plaid flannel is the uniform of the Canadian everyman, an integral part of our national heritage and the unofficial symbol of the land of the true north, strong and free.

Tickets are $75 for a four course meal and entertainment. A cash bar will be available. For tickets call 905-373-7624. After November 15th call the Victoria Hall Box Office 905-372-2210 or order on-line at, service fee and HST extra. The funds raised from this event will enable the Victoria Hall Volunteers to continue their work of preserving and enhancing the historical aspects of Victoria Hall.

Gather family and friends together to mark the end of the year of Canada 150 festivities with an evening of comradery great food and entertainment!

Victoria Hall Volunteers dedicated their Canada 150 anniversary legacy project to Victoria Hall and the citizens of Cobourg on September 25, 2017. This project is the restoration of the First and Second World War memorial names hanging on the north wall of the foyer in Victoria Hall. With the help of the Town of Cobourg, Victoria Hall Volunteers contributed to the long term preservation of the A. J. Casson scripts and the gold framing of the memorials. These beautiful memorials are now preserved until Canada's bicentennial in 2067 and beyond for all who visit Victoria Hall.
