Victoria Hall Volunteers will present

Food, Farms, Tour and Tastings, highlighting foods of
Northumberland County, on
Wednesday, October 10, 2018.

This day long guided bus tour, visiting Northumberland County farms, is followed by a Tastings event in the Concert Hall at Victoria Hall, Cobourg. The tour will give visitors a first-hand look at local farming practices guided by Peter Brotherhood and Paul Burnham. The tour will visit an unusual group of farms producing maple syrup, honey, hops for local craft beer, and blackcurrants. Visitors will also learn about growing saffron, a very new product in the county. The tour will leave Victoria Hall at 9 am, and includes lunch at The Grafton Inn.

Tickets for both the Tour and Tastings are $75. The Tastings event is from 5-7 pm. Tickets for the Tastings alone, a great opportunity to sample some unusual local produce, are just $20. All tickets can be ordered from the Victoria Hall box office, 905-372-2210, www.concerthallatvictoriahall.com/ and are available from July 3. (HST and a service charge will apply).

Note: Guests for the bus tour need to be ambulatory, as they will be on and off the bus at the various stops. Parking passes for the day will be available for bus tour participants at the Town of Cobourg's tax office.

Food, Farms, Tour and Tastings is supported by
Northumberland County's Economic Development Department.
